How to Prep for your photoshoot!

We look forward to creating magic with you!!! This guide is pretty short & sweet, but will hopefully cover any lingering questions you might have and give you an idea of our process!

A little bit more about us!

If you've already read the 'about us' section on our website, you already know us better than most! We're going to share here a little more about us and why we began Sardinas Media :)

We have been together for over 9 years now, and since the moment we met we have been inseparable. We knew we wanted to work together, we knew we loved film & photography, and we knew that we wanted to create and capture stories. Sardinas Media was born.

We truly love what we do and do it for the sake of art, forming connections. and getting to witness and share such beautiful moments & memories. From speaking with our clients we believe that comes across when you meet and create with us.

Outfit Colors:


When choosing colors for your outfits, we recommend more muted tones. By avoiding bold colors, it will help bring all the attention to your faces and let the viewer focus on the overall mood of the shoot. The camera loves shades of blush, dusty blue mixed with light neutrals like gray, cream, suede, brown, and white.

As you’re coordinating your looks, keep in mind that your outfits don’t necessarily have to perfectly match. You can each wear a different dominant color but aim to stay within a similar color family.

Outfit tips and suggestions:


  1. It is super important that when picking an outfit, you feel comfortable & confident!!! We want you to look and feel your best!
  2. If you plan on wearing shoes that might not be the most comfortable, bring a spare pair of sandals to switch in and out of!
  3. We do recommend staying away from neon colors or harsh clashing prints!
  4. Feel free to bring one extra outfit! We always carry our portable changing pod with us to make changing easy & quick!

Maternity Inspo: You can't go wrong with a tulle flowy dress, a Bodycon dress, or jeans and a crop top!


Props:

Feel free to bring any props you want included in your images! Whether it be champagne, a hat, wedding invitations, ring boxes, a sign etc!

Tip:

For beach sessions: It is typically always windy so messy hair is at times unavoidable! Messy hair is not something easily photoshop-ed!

So if you would like to avoid this make sure you take into consideration hair accessories, ponytails, or an updo. If you don't mind, we dont either! Let it flow :)

Will you pose us?

Absolutely Yes! We have you do a mixture of candid's & posing. To create the best of both world. We will ask you to do some silly things and all we ask is that you trust us lol!
We will direct everything & all you need to bring is your smile!
90% of our couples always start by saying, "We are SUPER awkward, we are going to need a lot of help"
and I'm here to tell you there has not been A SINGLE couple we've worked with that ends up looking stiff, Uncomfortable, or awkward in their images <3 We have your back!!!

When will I get my gallery back?

We ask for about 3 weeks - sometimes less! If you need them sooner for printing or for an event, please let us know a week before your session!

Can you photoshop ___ out?

The answer is: Maybe
We try our best to photoshop random things out of the background.
If you have something you're a little self-conscious about, just let me know and I'll do my best!
We try to keep our images as natural as possible but want you to be happy with them too!
